Csound

Both, the electronic sound (sound synthesis) and the spatial image (spatialisation through ambisonic method) were created using Csound. First, the sound was produced using Csound, then a movement trajectories were generated unsing Csound and finally the spatial encoding into 2nd order Ambisonics and the final rendering was done using Csound. Both, the Ambisonic Method and the Csound- Programme are patented, but free to use for everyone. Csound is a text- based programme for sound- synthesis and processing with the computer, once developed by Barry Vercoe at the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA), now being maintained by several people around the world, as it is, due to the wish of the creator Barry Vercoe, open source now. Csound is the most comprehensive and flexible synthesis language existing.
